The first air attack on Belgrade took place on April 6, 1941 at around six hours and 50 minutes in the morning.
In the third airstrike, around 3:30 p.m., Kosančić's Wreath area was bombed, when the building of the National Library of Serbia was hit by an incendiary shell.
In such a devastating fire that lasted for three days, the National Library burned to the ground, and the fire consumed the entire national fund forever.
