A Place for Soul-Healing

An exclusive show broadcast by RTS as a special edition of the Cultural Diary, on National Library of Serbia Day, February 28, 2023.
The show follows the history of the National Library from its foundation to the present day and everything that has marked it, such as the bombing in 1941, the trial of German general Löhr, and along with the story of the robbery and destruction of the library, it also tells about how some old valuable books still found their way back to this national cultural treasury. The show provides an insight into some of the greatest cultural treasures that are kept in this institution today. In addition to other manuscripts, the show also presents the Gospel of Dovolja, which contains four painted parchment leaves even older than Miroslav's Gospel.
